What is the reason you want to take part in Mr Gay Europe 2025?

Cyprus is a small country almost invisible on the radar for global LGBT rights. I'd like to give an insight into the current status of LGBT rights in Cyprus and what improvements need to be achieved to make Cyprus a safe harbour for all LGBT people. Also, I'm very excited to meet the contestants from other countries all over Europe to have an exchange about European LGBT rights.

Why you should be selected to become Mr Gay Europe 2025?

I'd like to represent the island of Cyprus and Europe an open-minded and diverse country/continent and be a voice for those who do not have the privilege like I had to grow up in a queer-inclusive community. Friends describe as a smart and empathetic guy who stands up for his beliefs.

What you think is the biggest LGBT challenge in Europe today?

In Europe, we are observing a growing surge for power by right-wing parties that attempt to set back these LGBT rights for which previous LGBT generations have fought for continuously. Moreover, I am observing growing homophobia within the LGBT community, e.g. fat-shaming, fem shaming or further discrimination based of race and religion.
