What is the reason you want to take part in Mr Gay Europe 2025?
Being Mr. Gay Europe is about more than a title—it’s about purpose. I see this competition as a platform for advocacy, visibility, and change. As someone who has dedicated my life to uplifting and empowering the LGBTQ+ community—especially those who are most disadvantaged, including queer refugees, and asylum seekers—I see this as an opportunity to amplify voices that are too often unheard and push for a more inclusive and just society.
Having navigated my own journey from North Macedonia to Sweden, I know what it means to leave behind not just a country, but a life—facing uncertainty, searching for safety, and holding onto the hope of something better. But Sweden was more than a destination; it became my home. A place that gave me the safety, freedom, and dignity to be who I am—things I could only dream of in the place where I was born. Today, I stand proud to represent Sweden, not just as a country, but as the place that made it possible for me to live openly, love freely, and fight for those still waiting for the same chance.
Through my activism, I’ve worked to create safe spaces, offer mental health support, and advocate for legal protections for LGBTQ+ newcomers. Whether it’s leading projects like Attention Detention for detained queer refugees, developing the Not Alone in Europe initiative across seven countries, or speaking at international forums, my mission has always been clear: no one should be left behind.
I want to bring this message to the Mr. Gay Europe stage. To show that being gay is not just about pride in identity—it’s also about solidarity, empowerment, and standing up for those who need us the most.
My experience as an activist, speaker, and creative leader has taught me that true change happens when we use every platform available to challenge injustice and inspire hope. By competing in Mr. Gay Europe 2025, I want to highlight the intersectionality of queerness and migration, to break harmful stereotypes, and to prove that LGBTQ+ people—regardless of their circumstances—are not just survivors. We are leaders, creators, and change-makers!
This is not just my story; it’s the story of thousands who deserve to be seen, heard, and celebrated.
Why you should be selected to become Mr Gay Europe 2025?
The fight for LGBTQ+ rights in Europe isn’t just about legal protections—it’s about the growing divide between progress and backlash. While some countries are moving forward, others are rolling back rights, silencing activists, and spreading anti-LGBTQ+ rhetoric.
One of the biggest challenges today is the rise of anti-LGBTQ+ sentiment, driven by far-right movements, restrictive policies, and misinformation. This is especially dangerous for LGBTQ+ migrants, refugees, and asylum seekers—people escaping persecution only to face new forms of discrimination. Many end up in hostile environments, detention centers, or stuck in legal limbo, where their identity is questioned, and their rights ignored. Governments that claim to stand for human rights often fail the very people who need protection the most.
But inequality isn’t just political—it’s personal. LGBTQ+ people, especially queer youth and trans individuals, are facing a mental health crisis. Social isolation, discrimination, and the fear of violence leave many struggling alone, with support systems that are inaccessible, unaffordable, or unsafe. At the same time, essential sexual health services—including PrEP, STI prevention, and LGBTQ+ inclusive sex education—remain limited or heavily stigmatized across Europe, putting lives at risk. This cannot continue—we need to do better
We shouldn’t have to flee our homes because of who we are. No one should be forced to choose between safety and authenticity, between home and freedom. No matter where we come from or where we’re going, we should feel safe enough to love, exist, and belong.
My dream is that, in the years to come, we will see representatives from every corner of Europe standing on this stage—not as exiles, but as proud ambassadors of their countries. Without fear. Only pride and love. When families turn their backs out of fear, and when the world refuses to offer protection, it is up to us—the LGBTQ+ community—to be the home no one should have to leave behind.
Europe must not only protect progress—it must lead. It’s not just about how far we’ve come, but about ensuring we never move backward. We need stronger legal protections, a full ban on conversion practices, better mental health support, and a real commitment to those still fighting to be seen and heard.
Change doesn’t happen through words alone—it takes action. Action in policies. Action in protections. Action in how we support the most vulnerable. The real question is: who is willing to act?
What you think is the biggest LGBT challenge in Europe today?
Because I represent a side of the LGBTQ+ community that is often overlooked—the fighters, the displaced, the ones who have had to build themselves from the ground up in unfamiliar places, yet still find ways to uplift others.
Mr. Gay Europe is not just about confidence and charisma; it’s about using your voice to bring visibility to those who need it most. I have dedicated my career to turning lived experiences into action—whether by launching life-changing projects for queer refugees, advocating for legal protections, or creating safe spaces where none existed before.
What sets me apart is that I don’t just talk about change—I make it happen. I have led teams, managed international initiatives, and stood on global stages to speak for those who have been silenced. I know how to mobilize communities, connect across cultures, and turn activism into real progress.
But this fight is bigger than me.
Titles alone don’t create change—what we do with them does. Winning Mr. Gay Europe isn’t about recognition—it’s about responsibility. A responsibility to stand for those who have been left out of the conversation, to fight for those without a voice, and to ensure that this title is used for more than just celebration, but for real change.
I stand here not just as a candidate, but as a voice for those who cannot yet speak freely. If chosen as Mr. Gay Europe, I will continue fighting—not for myself, but for every LGBTQ+ person who deserves dignity, safety, and the freedom to be who they are. Because true pride isn’t just about standing tall—it’s about lifting others up with you. And as Mr. Gay Europe, that’s exactly what I will do.
