What is the reason you want to take part in Mr Gay Europe 2025?

I want to participate in Mister Gay Europe because this competition is not just about a title it is a platform for change. I was born in Chile, now I live in Malta, and my story represents thousands like me: a migrant, a doctor, and a gay man who understands that Pride is more than celebration it is memory, healing, and responsibility.

I want to use this platform to raise awareness for a cause too often forgotten: the loneliness and isolation faced by elderly LGBTQ+ individuals. These are the pioneers who fought for the rights we enjoy today, yet many of them are left behind.

Mister Gay Europe offers the chance to connect generations, to heal invisible wounds, and to remind everyone that without memory, there is no Pride  Because I am not only a gay man . I am a migrant, a doctor, and a living bridge between continents, generations, and cultures.

I come from Chile, I now live in Malta, and my journey has shown me that Pride does not look the same everywhere — but the need for dignity, respect, and representation is universal.

Why you should be selected to become Mr Gay Europe 2025?

As a medical doctor, I have dedicated my professional life to understanding health beyond the physical focusing on mental health, social isolation, and the unique challenges faced by LGBTQ+ individuals, especially migrants and our elderly pioneers.
I bring knowledge, passion, and a cause that matters: ensuring that no LGBTQ+ elder is forgotten, and that the generations who opened the doors for us receive the respect and care they deserve.

With my personal story, my professional experience, and my unwavering belief in the power of unity, I will make Mr Gay Europe 2025 a platform for connection, memory, and action.

What you think is the biggest LGBT challenge in Europe today?

I believe the biggest LGBT challenge in Europe today is the growing disconnect between generations within our own community, combined with the alarming rise of far-right ideologies that threaten to erase the progress we have fought for.

On one hand, younger generations enjoy rights and freedoms that were unimaginable just a few decades ago yet many are unaware of the battles that made this possible. There is a gap in memory, a missing link between the past and the present.
At the same time, our elder LGBTQ+ pioneers the very people who fought for these rights are often forgotten, isolated, and left without the community support they once helped build. This is not only a social injustice, but also a health crisis, as loneliness and mental health issues are rampant among older LGBTQ+ people.

On the other hand, across Europe we are witnessing the dangerous resurgence of far-right movements, using anti-LGBTQ+ rhetoric to gain political power. This regression is happening precisely because memory is fading because we are forgetting that our rights were never gifts, they were victories.

To face this double threat internal disconnection and external regression we must create a Pride movement: one that remembers, protects, and unites all generations, ensuring that no part of our community is left behind.
As a gay migrant doctor living in Malta, I see this from a unique perspective. I see how progress on paper does not always translate into progress in everyday lives especially for LGBTQ+ migrants and seniors. This is the challenge I want to help address if I become Mr Gay Europe.
